Brooke Hawkins: Unveiling the Burnout Baddie at Mopar Heaven
In the world of motorsports, some builds are born from necessity, some from passion, and others—like Brooke Hawkins' 1976 Jeep CJ—are designed to shake things up and challenge the norm. As a true Go Fast Girl, Brooke is no stranger to breaking barriers, and her latest project is set to turn heads in a way the Jeep and Mopar community has never seen before. This March, she will unveil her one-of-a-kind burnout Jeep at Mopar Heaven at Texas Motor Speedway, where she will also be a special guest influencer.
So, what inspired Brooke to take on such an ambitious build? We asked her, and her response was nothing short of inspiring:
Balancing a Corporate Life with the Need for Speed
"In the grand scheme of things, I think I just wanted an escape from reality," Brooke shares. "First and foremost, I’m a mother of boys and work in a very demanding, externally facing corporate role where I’m in a suit or dress in Washington DC, or NYC. I wanted to reengage myself with that balance of being a hobbyist in the motorsport and automotive industry."
Brooke’s love for motorsports was ingrained in her early on, growing up on dirt tracks and motor speedways. However, as adulthood took over, the intensity of her passion took a backseat. While she never fully stepped away from off-roading, she wasn’t building, racing, or competing as she once had. That changed when she launched her Instagram a year ago and reignited the fire that had been simmering beneath the surface.
"I realized that I absolutely needed to get back active in the industry, just for my own personal well-being. Having balance in life is so critical. Working and designing vehicles, restoring, racing, building, and simply defying the odds of women’s capabilities fuels my fire. Needless to say, I’m just getting a kindle started to the fire I plan to set."
The Vision Behind the Burnout Baddie
Unlike anything the Jeep or Mopar community has ever seen, Brooke’s burnout Jeep isn’t just about raw power and performance—it’s a statement. "The intentions of the burnout baddie that we are engineering as I make my way into this part of the motorsport industry is to do something a little more off the wall and stir up some chaos," she says. "I really look forward to people turning their heads."
But beyond the thrill of the build itself, Brooke is on a mission to promote the belonging and togetherness of women in motorsports and action sports. She understands firsthand the barriers women face in the automotive world and is determined to prove that there is space for them—whether it’s on the track, in the garage, or behind the wheel.
More Than Just a Jeep: A Movement
At the core of Brooke’s presence in the industry and on social media is the desire to inspire. "The intentions of my presence on social media are to continue to engage and promote females in the motorsport industry, breaking the social norms of women doing badass things—like building cars, racing, off-roading, getting dirty, and being able to handle their own."
She’s living proof that being a mom and a corporate powerhouse doesn’t mean giving up your passion for horsepower and grease-stained hands. "I like to show the possibilities of being a mom, a full-time corporate employee, but still being a total baddie. It’s totally okay to wear heels, do your hair and makeup, and get dirty, muddy, and greasy at the same time. You can look like a total bombshell and work your a** off at the same time!"
