"Your Life Isn't Yours If you Always Care What Others Think! or I'll break your heart and Wreck your car!"
My name is Rayven Santos, and since 2021, when I was 14, I've been immersed in the world of Demolition Derbies. Due to my age, my derbies often take me to Utah. It's there that I found a deep connection with the Utah Derby Family, and I'm committed to staying involved in the Utah Derby circuit. My family shares this passion, and we're proud members of the Metal Mangled Mafia Demolition Derby crew.
My uncle Jason played a pivotal role in igniting my love for this sport by joining the Derby circuit himself. Sharing this interest with him means the world to me.
One of the highlights for me is the time spent with family searching for the perfect car, stripping it down, and rebuilding it into a true powerhouse wrecking machine. There's nothing quite like the exhilaration of hearing the engine roar to life for the first time, prompting shouts of "It's alive!" Packing up the car and hitting the road to Utah with my family is an adventure I cherish. My goal is to compete in local derbies in Arizona and California, adding to the thrill and challenge of the sport.
Despite the inevitable stress, I thrive on the excitement it brings. Away from the derby scene, I reside in Mayer, Arizona, where I'm on track to graduate high school a year ahead of schedule. Beyond derbies, I find joy in leading as captain of our cheer squad, playing softball, and coaching young athletes aged 4-14 in the Avenger football and cheer programs.
