Josey Watkins
“I get really motivated when I have doubters”
In just a few short years, Josey Watkins has established herself as a threat in the youth class. After two successful years in the 170 class, she stepped up to the 570 class where she would be mentored by five-time off road champion, Treavis Poynter. Josey showed the patience and racecraft of a seasoned racer only finishing off the podium one time and bringing her total podium finishes to twenty. This consistency led to her clenching the 2019 AXCC 570 Championship at the final round where she only needed to complete one lap.
For 2020, the thirteen-year-old decided to raise the bar for herself again by stepping into the adult 800 class. She had already proven she was a threat in the lites class finishing 2nd in IATVHSS and 2nd at the prestigious four-hour Heartland Challenge. As the younger sister of GNCC women’s champion, Addison Nible, and with the full support of her parents, Josey continued her success by wrapping up the AXCC championship with three rounds left. In 2021 Josey plans on competing in Champ Offroad, Tex Plex, Crosxs, And IXCR.
