What to Expect This January as a Go Fast Girl
January is here, and with it comes some of the most exciting events in motorsports! From the heart-pounding thrills of Monster Energy AMA Supercross to the rugged endurance of King of the Hammers, this month is packed with action for Go Fast Girls (GFG). Whether you’re trackside or tuning in from home, there’s something for everyone to be part of the adrenaline-filled fun.
Supercross Season Kicks Off
The new year starts with a bang as the Supercross season kicks off this Saturday, January 11th, at Anaheim 1 (A1). Known as the "Super Bowl of Supercross," A1 is more than just the first race of the year—it's an iconic event where legends are born, rivalries ignite, and fans come together to celebrate their shared passion for dirt bikes and high-speed racing.
A1 sets the tone for the season with a packed stadium, buzzing pits, and nonstop energy. Riders bring their A-game as they navigate tight corners, big jumps, and the ever-unpredictable whoops section, all in hopes of snagging that first win of the year.
The following week January 18th, the Supercross tour heads to San Diego, the hometown and heartbeat of GFG. San Diego is a special stop for us, and we love seeing our community show up and represent. Make it a fun-filled night by gathering your crew, repping your favorite GFG merch, and soaking in the electric atmosphere.
If you can't make it to the races in person, don’t worry! You can catch all the action live on Peacock. Most races air in the evening, so check the schedule for local times. And for an extra dose of fun, join a Supercross Fantasy League and compete with friends to predict who will take the checkered flag each week!
King of the Hammers
As the month winds down, we head off-road to one of the most grueling and awe-inspiring events in motorsports: King of the Hammers (KOH) in Johnson Valley, California. Held in late January 30th - February 8th KOH is a week-long event that blends the high speeds of desert racing with the technical challenges of rock crawling. It’s known as one of the toughest one-day races on the planet, and it’s a must-see for anyone who loves off-road racing.
We’re especially proud this year because one of our own, GFG #4907 Maile Hale, will be racing at KOH. Maile embodies the GFG spirit with her determination, grit, and love for pushing limits. Make sure to follow her journey and cheer her on as she takes on this incredible challenge.
