Throttle Wide Open: Supercross A1 and San Diego Recap with Go Fast Girls!

The 2025 Supercross season has kicked off with exhilarating action at Anaheim 1 (A1) and San Diego. From intense battles on the track to the vibrant atmosphere of Fan Fest, the opening rounds have set the stage for a thrilling championship race. Let’s dive into the highlights and see how the top riders are stacking up.

Anaheim 1: Chase Sexton Takes the Win

The season opener at Angel Stadium was nothing short of spectacular. In the 450SX class, Chase Sexton delivered a stellar performance, clinching the victory and setting the tone for the season. Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen also showcased their prowess, finishing strong and proving this season will be nothing short of a battle for every point.

San Diego: Eli Tomac’s Historic Victory

The second round at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego brought more thrills and history-making moments. Eli Tomac rode to an impressive victory in the 450SX class, securing his 53rd career Supercross win. He also became the first rider to win races in 11 consecutive seasons, solidifying his legendary status.

Right on his tail, Jett Lawrence—in his second year in the 450 class—delivered a fantastic performance, finishing second. It’s clear Jett has fully adjusted to the premier class, proving he’s a serious contender for the championship this season. Chase Sexton, coming off his A1 win, rounded out the podium in third, making the title chase an exciting three-way battle early in the season.

In the 250SX class, the spotlight shone brightly on Julien (Juju) Beaumer, who claimed his first career victory. It was an emotional win that added another layer of excitement to an already competitive field.

One rider who’s consistently drawing attention in the 250SX class is Haiden Deegan. Known for his aggressive riding and never-give-up attitude, Deegan has quickly become a fan favorite and a force to watch in the championship standings.

Championship Standings After Two Rounds

With two rounds complete, the standings in both classes are tight.

In the 450SX class, Eli Tomac leads the pack with 42 points, just edging out Chase Sexton, who sits at 41 points. Ken Roczen is in third with 40 points, while Jett Lawrence is holding down fifth place with 32 points, staying well within reach of the leaders.

Over in the 250SX West class, Julien Beaumer is on top with 47 points, followed by Jordon Smith (42 points) and Jo Shimoda (40 points). Haiden Deegan is close behind, showing his potential to make waves as the season progresses.

Fan Fest: The Ultimate Pre-Race Experience

Fan Fest continues to be a highlight of every Supercross event, and both A1 and San Diego didn’t disappoint. Fans got the chance to see the bikes up close, meet their favorite riders, and experience interactive displays from sponsors and teams.

Pro Tip: If you want to get into Fan Fest for free, bring an empty Monster Energy drink can. It’s that simple! Just don’t forget your event ticket to enjoy all the racing action afterward.
