“Time for me to fly”

My name is Karly Hearne. I am 17 years old and I have been racing boats for 5 years. I started out in a 9 foot hydroplane, and in the three years of racing that I got two 2nd place national titles, one 3rd place along with many other awards. Once I was old enough to start racing flat bottoms I jumped in as soon as I could! I started racing a 2002 beismeyer in June of 2021 my first year in the new boat. Then at the national race I took 3rd nationally, and this year I took first along with season points champion for the year! This next year I am chasing points in the next class up “SE” ( Sportsman Extreme)!
