"If the dirt aint flyin then you aint tryin'"
Hi! I’m Laura, I’m 32 yrs old from NJ and I have been riding horses basically my whole life.
I started riding when I was 5, and even at a young age I was competitive. I was a Grand Champion in Western Pleasure when I was 13, but I always wanted to be one of the girls who got to be in the rodeo!
When I got old enough, I bought myself a barrel racing horse named Ammo and started to learn how to barrel race. We just started to get good when Ammo tragically passed away from colic. That’s when I bought Denver, aka “The Evader”, a young horse who hadn’t been trained to do anything yet. I got to work and trained him myself, and he went from not knowing anything to being a 6x NBHA World Champion qualifier, arena record holder and all around badass.
I decided that I did so good with Denver that I would help other people train barrel horses as well, and am also currently training another young horse named Twiggy for myself. This year, Denver and I will be competing in pro rodeos and making another go at being an NBHA world champion!
