Ladies of Bad Apples Racing
"I am not good at following rules, I am not good at following instructions, I am not good at driving slow." - Jessi Combs
Bad Apples Racing is a family drag boat racing team that has grown to include our favorite Go Fast Girls: Driver Colleen Callahan, and General Manager Kaleena Escallier.
Colleen was first introduced to drag boat racing in 2017 and hopped behind the wheel of her first boat, a TX-19, the following summer. Colleen didn't take long to fall in love with the unique race night moments only drivers experience. She quickly became a fan favorite at the Northern Illinois Drag Boat Association's (NIDBA) weekly Thunder on the Chain drag boat racing series. The only go-fast girl in the NIDBA with a lead foot and a Chevy big block, Colleen can be spotted racing May-September in her red, white, and pink Eliminator Daytona.
Kaleena officially joined the Bad Apples Racing crew in 2018 and has fiercely supported lady drivers since. Often spotted in the shop and behind the camera, Kaleena manages all things behind the scenes for both Bad Apples Racing and the NIDBA. Keep a close eye, she isn't shy behind the wheel.
Colleen and Kal are excited to be Go Fast Girls ambassadors and love connecting girls to drag boat racing every chance they get. "We all need role models and Go Fast Girls is bringing that to life for girls through their brand every day!"
